Maxime Macenauer, a 2007 Ducks draft pick playing for the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors, will be out ‘for quite a length of time’ according to the Bakersfield Californian, following a lower-body injury suffered Friday night.
The 20-year-old Laval, Quebec native had one goal and five points in seven games to start the season with Bakersfield. The Ducks selected Macenauer in the third round, 63rd overall, in 2007. Because the Ducks don’t have an AHL affiliate, he was assigned to Bakersfield — along with several other prospects who might otherwise be in the American Hockey League — after participating in training camp in Anaheim.
Great work, as always. I was at the Condors game in Ontario on Halloween; they really could have used Macenauer. Shame he goes down, and just a week after Bonino.
I was wondering if you knew why Mitera is still with San Antonio when he’s only logged four games for the club? Shouldn’t they have sent him to Bakersfield like they did with Sexton?
