Glendale Police is looking for one Antonio Olguin Espinosa, 37, of Los Angeles on suspicion of bootlegging DVDs and CDs. The story so far from GPD:
On 03/09/07, a male identified as Antonio Olguin Espinosa was stopped by a Glendale Police Officer in the 1200 block of S. Maryland. Espinosa attempted to conceal a duffle bag from the officer. The officer later located the bag and saw it contained over 80 counterfeit/pirated DVD’s and music CD’s. The counterfeit DVD’s and CD’s were seized as evidence.Detectives from the Glendale Police Department conducted a follow up investigation. On 03/21/07 the Burglary/Auto Theft Detail served a search warrant at 315 W Avenue 38 Apt. 209, Los Angeles. Espinosa was not home. During the search over 1,700 counterfeit/pirate DVD’s and music CD’s, 63 video tape masters, DVD burners used to reproduce DVD’s, and over 500 CD trays and inserts was recovered. The evidence recovered from Espinosa’s residence indicated he is manufacturing and selling counterfeit DVD’s and music CD’s. The estimated value of the evidence recovered is over $ 17,500.
Investigators from the Motion Picture Association of America responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation.
