Yes, the L.A. River DOES support life

Word from Atwater is carp -- big ones -- are spawning in that concreted stretch of the oft-maligned river channel. More from LA Observed.

Much of that stretch of the L.A. River has only concrete walls. The bed is not paved and purposely left natural in those places to promote natural wildlife. Too bad it's not that way for the part that borders Burbank.
