    The Legend of Damon’s

Once upon a time, in a land known as Glendale, a well-respected gent in the candy store business decided there was more to life than candy. Since he himself loved huge steaks and hearty meals, he decided to open his own restaurant in 1937. It didn’t take long for the word to spread far and wide throughout Southern California that Mr. Loyal Damon had, indeed, created something special.

Desiring to make his café unique, the savvy Loyal placed a magical palm tree in the middle of his steak emporium. Soon, the palm tree started attracting all kinds of tropical artifacts to it. Being a practical man, Loyal simply started hanging the masks and torches onto the walls creating a South Seas atmosphere for his steak-loving clientele. And, when it came to pass that the restaurant relocated to Brand Blvd., in the year of 1980, an outrigger canoe, Polynesian murals, and aquariums also appeared in the steak house.

Time passed, and parents brought their children to experience the unusual surroundings that made them feel like they were dining in the islands. As fate would have it, generation after generation continues to be drawn to the wonder of great food, exceptional service and its fun tropical atmosphere. To put it simply, everyone ate & drank happily ever after.

    The End

After 70 years, this legendary steak house continues to thrive… Here’s to at least 70 more years of enjoying the magic that is Damon’s!
