Putting journalists in jail
If law enforcement truly needs to find out who committed a crime, they have no other choice and a compelling reason, I can see the argument backing suponeas against journalists. But the onslaught of legal attacks lately against reporters should concern everyone. The problem is that we are undersiege at a time when we appear to have few defenders.

If it appeared that journalists were the least bit interested in actually doing anything to put a stop to the mis/malfeasance, they wouldn't be under siege.
Unfortunately, they haven't. The lies and the lying liars, to coin someone else's phrase, are being exposed at a fast and furious pace in the past 72 hours. SURELY the reporters "relying" on stringers and "eyewitnesses" and "police officials," and those reporters' editors, aren't so brain-dead or tone-deaf as to not realize that they have been played for fools in Iraq for, what, maybe 3-1/2 years?
If it's mass MISfeasance, the reporters over there are the dumbest people on earth. If it's mass MALfeasance, well, the term sedition would surely seen to fit.
