Slow down on North Primrose in Monrovia
Some Monrovia residents on North Primrose are mad as hell and not going to take it any more. Pictures by Frazgo at Metroblogging Los Angeles shows slow down signs lining the street. Residents complained and received little comfort from the city, apparently. We're sending a photographer out there and will probably have a small story in the next few days.
UPDATE:According to reporter Molly Okeon, a group of Primrose residents will be heading to the Monrovia City Council meeting at 7:30 Tuesday at City Hall, 415 S. Ivy Ave.

Thanks for the shout out and the photo credit. This neighborhood needs support. Actually if you ask residents outside the approved list you'll find a lot of concerns not being addressed contrary to what the "state of the city report" would like you to believe.
It's a community wedged right between the Star News and Tribune area, and due to resources, one we haven't covered all that well. Your blog entry was sent by a Primrose resident. I like the "approved list" comment.

Talking about resources, what everhappened to your trib reporter for the schools, i think they call them the educative reporter. I called the other day about something but they said no one was doing schools specifically but that a weekly reporter would get back to me... still waiting. maybe with the revamping of the paper over and over you all will one day get it right.. this is why I keep my subscription going, just to see the changes that supposedly get better and better all the time, but you guys go back to the same thing again and again. thanks for all the chuckles.
Actually, Claudia Palma is heading the education reporting for the metro side. While she is also working for the Highlander, she also worked for the news side.
