Slow news day?

| |

Who knew my resignation would get such play? LAObserved, Reporter-G and FCBlog blogged about my soon-to-be departure. Effective July 22, I will be preparing to travel to Guatemala and then return to my native New York. I will stay in journalism as long as I can. Journalism, in some form, will survive, though the next few years will be rough. As for the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Frank Girardot will be taking over my duties. All kidding aside, I thank everyone I have worked with and learned from (including - ack - local bloggers). I am a better journalist today because of you. As for this blog, it will most likely end. Because we now have a slew of blogs that have helped our Web site flourish. Once again thanks.

FRANK GIRARDOT

This is group blog that includes Kate Kealey, night editor for SGVN, Frank Girardot, city editor, and Edward Barrera, Metro Editor.

This is a forum to discuss our paper, the media and coverage of stories and communities. occasionally, we will digress. Please be indulgent.
