Mark you calendar: State of Education address

| | Comments (0)
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell will deliver his sixth annual State of Education Address Feb.3 in Sacramento.

O'Connell will discuss the impact of the national economic downturn and the state budget crisis on public education in California. Given the challenging economic times, O'Connell will also lay out a series of proposals aimed at continuing to improve student performance and close the achievement gap.

Note: A text of the speech will be available on-line on Tuesday after the speech. I will update the blog with a link once I receive it.
