High Desert Gangs, Drugs Task Force meeting

The High Desert Gangs and Drugs Task Force will hold a public meeting on April 28 at the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools' Desert-Mountain Special Education Local Plan Area office.

           The meeting will feature presentations on the We Tip Hotline by Daniel Mayfield, CEO of the We Tip Hotline, as well as a presentation on the Coalition Against Sexual Exploitation of Children by Tamara Ross of the county's District Attorney office.


           The High Desert Gangs & Drugs Task Force is committed to providing a leadership role in advocating the prevention and suppression of gang membership and drug use. The task force is a coordinated partnership among education, law enforcement, criminal justice, elected officials, private enterprise and community members.

           The event will be from 7:30-9 a.m. in Apple Valley at 17800 Highway 18. The meeting is for school administrators, counselors and security personnel, as well as local law enforcement, faith-based and community organizations, probation officers, concerned parents and community leaders.
