GOP candidates for Senate get a taste of John and Ken

| | Comments (1) |

With just two weeks for voters to decide which Republican should face off against Sen. Barbara Boxer in November, candidates Chuck DeVore, Tom Campbell and Carly Fiorina will make their pitches on KFI's John and Ken Show.

The action starts at 2 p.m. and if past shows are any indication, it should be a lively exchange.

DeVore, Campbell face off tonight minus Fiorina

U.S. Senate hopefuls Chuck DeVore and Tom Campbell will face off tonight at a debate in Brandman University in Irvine, but the third GOP competitor in the race, Carly Fiorina, has opted out.

Apparently Fiorina's camp doesn't think the debate's moderator, Brandman assistant professor Mike Moodian, would be impartial, so they declined the invite.

Judge for yourself by watching the debate from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/brandman-university-townhall

Congressional Dem candidates trail Republicans in generic ballot

| | Comments (0) |

Forty-four percent of voters would vote for their congressional district's Republican candidate while only 36 percent would vote for their district's Democratic candidate, according to the latest Generic Congressional Ballot poll by Rasmussen Reports.

The 8-point Republican lead is a stark reversal for Democrats compared to last year, who led Republicans 41 percent to 39 percent a year ago.
