Beauties (and Bottega!) of 0-6

The first issue of Life & Style for the new year showcases some of Hollywood's best dresssed. I'm sure they've had they're "worst" moments too, but I guess L&S' new year's resolution is to have mercy on the glamorous (at least until the next issue).

Featured on the list is the lucky in lush looks, unlucky in love actress Jennifer Aniston, newlywed Katie Holmes (Cruise?) and the wild kingdom-inspired wardrobe of the wildly popular pop star Gwen Stefani.

Who's number one you ask? Well there are just so many fashionable females to choose from...but from the looks of it, it just seems she was "destined" to take the crown .

Happy New Year!

In The Nude

Kerry Washington was moving cool in a silk cocktail dress by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin at this month's Creative Coalition Gala.

Accented with a black sash and clutch, nude has never been more appropriate in the winter as it was at Tuesday night's event in New York.

Rejecting the warm wears of the season, Washington sported another silky, shoulder-baring gown earlier this month at the Botanical Garden Winter Wonderland Ball, also in New York. Her clear crystal Swarovski clutch was not only the perfect match for the sparkle-accented number...

...It apparently made for an amazing dance partner too.

What Happens in Vegas...

...Shows up on WAYW. And if you're Zoe Saldana, you should be used to the attention a little black dress, like this one by Catherine Malandrino, will get you.

Kicking back VIP-style at the Dec. 15 party at Tao in Las Vegas, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star is rarely seen overdoing it and keeps it simple from head to toe, pairing the mesh-detailed airy cotton voile v-neck dress with patent leather peep toe heels by Rickard Shah.

Picture Perfect Penelope

"Volver" star Penelope Cruz gave the camera a winning smile that sparkled almost as much as the 19.48-ct chandelier white diamond Chopard earrings she wore Wednesday night at the Hollywood kick off for Cruz's (in partnership with Dolce & Gabbana) Charity Auction to Benefit The Art of Elysium. With a line of stars coming out to the Chateau Marmont in support, the Spanish beauty had plenty of reasons to smile that night - and even more the next morning with the announcement of her Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a motion picture drama.

Golden Globe Winners...

No, not the ACTUAL winners. They just announced the nominees this morning! The real winners (at least until January) were the announcers: Jessica Biel and Rosario Dawson. Both wore fairly conservative, figure-hugging sheath dresses that made you wonder if they consulted with each other before they left the house this morning.

Dawson, in a charcoal grey wool v-neck by Escada, and Biel, in a Giambattista Valli dress, looked appropriately suited for a crisp L.A. December morning. But you wouldn't believe how early (5 a.m.) they were there looking fabulous unless I told you.

Matthew Perry also joined the screen (big and small) femmes as an announcer, looking relaxed in a well-fitted dark pinstriped suit.

That is until he realized he was the only one who didn't get the call about coordinating outfits.

Nonetheless, the morning went smoothly and they all had a good laugh...

If you're not going to get a nomination, you might as well look good announcing them (is my motto).

"Dreamgirls" Shine!

One Supreme (Mary Wilson) plus one Destiny's Child (do we even need to say it) equals stunning style at Monday night's Los Angeles premiere of "Dreamgirls" where Wilson played correspondent for "Extra TV".

But the story of their similar "girl group" past, however, is outshined by their glittering present.

Literally! Wilson's Swarovski Crystal necklace, the main attraction of the all-black ensemble, is almost as long as the train on Beyonce's form-fitting Elie Saab gown.

Hel-lo!

Which is probably what Corrine (center) was thinking as Wilson interviewed her Oscar-winning dad, Jamie Foxx.
