Gotta love a man in a suit.
And then, there are those who didn't get the memo.
Are they creative? Avant-garde? Fearless....or just clueless?
You decide (but, we'll give you some not-so-subtle hints):

Ummm...yum.

Slash?...I was thinking more along the lines of burn...

Let's take some notes from the original Teddy Bear.

Ne-Yo makes another hit.

Three cheers for slim suits and the slim men who wear them.

These jackets make me only slightly queasy.

You get points for the hat....as if you need it.
You know that feeling when you're at a semi-dressy event and you're totally underdressed?

Militarily incorrect.

I mean, it's Will.I.Am...

"Jermaine?"
When it comes to award shows, there are high hopes...and even higher hair. I just think one of these ladies took the saying "Shoot for the stars"...too much to heart.
Tease-O-Meter says:

WANTED: New Tease-O-Meter before next awards show...or Beyonce concert.
They could be cold. Or hiding evidence of one wild night. But when it came to dressing for tonight's award show, these ladies left no neck uncovered.
If these necks could talk:
"I wonder if she'll let me out for good behavior."
"This does nothing for my allergies."
"That Kid Rock is such a showoff!"
Object of neck-envy:
"Come on Chest....It's time to par-tay!"
I have a hard time believing this is not the same person. I believe in magic and really quick wardrobe changes.
I could take this show on the road!
It's a fade flashback with barbers getting slightly buzzzzzz-happy on some very famous heads. Hey, art has no boundaries!
Still one to beat:
(2006)
It's enough to make Tina Turner proud.
There's been some debate on whether or not Katie Holmes has been dressing way too mature for her 28-year-old self since she got with now hubby Tom Cruise a couple of years ago.

(@ DC's "Lions for Lambs" premiere in Lanvin, yesterday)
But in my opinion...

...it beats the Midwest boho unchic look of previous years.
Say what you want about "TomKat," but Katie is working the new role (mom, wife, Posh's bff), especially at last Friday's AFI Fest's opening night premiere of Cruise's "Lions for Lambs" film.

And I can totally respect a girl who can rock the flats with class (and make you think she did it on purpose, and not just because her husband's about *yay* high.)

Tom's lucky to have her by his side.

If only to distract us from his Zac Efron-esque bangs.
And....what

is

so

funny??
Will to Tom: Remember what Rob(ert Redford) wore to the Paris premiere?
FLASHBACK:

Tom to Will: He should just stick to the suits.

Can you believe that Redford is ** years old? Whatever your guess, you're probably way off. (Take notes, Tom. No bangs and still *sigh*-worthy!)
Speaking of *sigh*-worthy...

I can appreciate a man who can work a cardigan and not look like he stepped out of his dad's La-Z-Boy chair. It's almost a shame to mention...how horribly clunky his shoes are for the red carpet.

But then you make my way back up to the face and you say to yourself: This face, can do no wrong.

Seriously, Will, you have way too much energy.
"Jan!"

Best hair of the night goes to Jenna Elfman:

For lack of a better reaction....Prrrettyyy.

Seriously, Will.

The Vegas screening of "Love in the Time of Cholera" was complimented by the presence of the lovely Latin music artist Shakira, who looked extra glamourous in a teal chiffon dress by Zuhair Murad, with her usually wild locks tamed for the intimate-feeling affair.

Shakira performed as part of the evening's benefit event, "An Evening of Love," benefitting The Bare Feet Foundation, including a song from the film on the set list.

Now, that's the smile of someone in love...

...with their stylist.
Ok, ok, Sarah Michelle Gellar. But maybe if she'd show her face around town more, or on screen for that matter, my first reaction wouldn't be, "the Slayer!"
But here she is, Ms. Gellar/Mrs. Prinze, Jr., at the premiere of her new flick " Southland Tales" (starring THE ROCK! - you have to spell and say it like that - Mandy Moore, Seann William Scott, and a host of others) at this weekend's AFI Fest in Hollywood .

I especially like THE PEARL! - that one is all me - and satin necklace by Lanvin.

Ok, no more Buffy jokes. Just keep the aSS kicking in the style department.
