Who doesn't love Alicia Keys?

Apparantly not enough people to make a difference as she accepted the "Entertainment Award" at Saturday night's BET Honors in DC, wearing this sparkle-accented dress (with a Daniel Swarovski clutch - top pic - with, of course, some sparkle action of its own).

While Keys was receiving, actress turned music video director (for Common, no less) was giving one (to Rep. Maxine Waters) in this embellished Grecian-inspired dress.

On the other side of the country, Daniel Swarovski was the accessory of choice as well as Kate Walsh showed herself off at the Art of Elysium Gala in LA Saturday.

Like we say in LA: With this kind of *bling*, who needs the stars (of the plasmatic variety).

With success, these two talented ladies have been experiencing a style upgrade. They're resume is stacked with combined experience including acting, singing, acting and singing, and pushing a line of make-up named after them (hey, Queen!). Add: Looking better and better with time and you have a total package worth hatin' on applauding.

One of the stars of this season's "This Christmas" Regina King looked beautiful in bronze as she rocked this sequin dress by Jenny Packham to Friday's 2007 Movies Rock event, topping off shimmer with a bit more shimmer with a leather Daniel Swarovski clutch.

And what a style evolution this Queen has gone through. Simplicity wins here in the accessories department with this Mikimoto pearl necklace (shinin' with diamonds) and earrings to match at Saturday's Hollywood Reporter-hosted Women In Entertainment Breakfast.

Oh, look!: Guess who else was loving Mikimoto? Actress/singer Emmy Rossum not only showed off her vocal skills at the Hollywood Reporter event, but also her rebllious side, sporting the Mikimoto pearl necklace as a bracelet

...ok, rebellious may be an overstatement. But you get my drift.

I must admit, I never watched that "Veronica Mars" much....ok, at all. I think I caught the first 5 minutes of one episode after a new drama-filled, Tyra-filled episode of "Top Model." Even though it wasn't my cup of tea, I guess it did pretty well.

But I sure don't remember Kristen Bell, who played the lead teen in this "OC" meets "Law and Order" type (drama?), looking like this.

REMINDER of LIFE ON 'MARS':

I know it was her character, but still. She's definitely been out and about looking blog-worthy, no? But then, I guess riding the wave of the hit "Heroes" as the newest add to the cast can be pretty inspiring as well

But I guess it was only a matter of time. One can focus on such things as upping your style quotient when not carrying the weight of a less-than-stellar network. My favorite was this bronze Tadashi Shoji dress she wore to Elle Magazine's Women in Hollywood event on Monday.

Way to kick off LA Fashion Week right!

This material girl lives in a material world. And the label says "Prada."

Madonna was seen lugging around (as others lusted after) this glossy Prada grey and silver patent leather bag.

But Katie Holmes had Madonna beat as she juggled a baby in one arm and this grey Prada Glacé Zippers bag in the other, with the added challenge of making sure none of baby Suri's formula leaked out on her designer duds.
