March 2011 Archives

I'm very interested in the tiny-house movement, which not only advocates the building of small dwellings, usually less than 500 square feet, often around 100 square feet or even less, but actually living in them (~500 square feet, ~300 square feet, ~250-300 square feet, ~100 square feet, ~65 square feet).
The Tumbleweed Tiny House Company is very active in promoting this kind of thing through a book, house plans and its web site, including a blog.
A couple from Illinois, Evan and Gabby, decided to build one of these houses on a drivable trailer, and they've enlisted the help of their neighbors and friends in building the dwelling.
The construction looks to be of very high quality; I can't help but notice how good the wood looks throughout.
Take a long look at their whole blog to see how the idea, the planning and the construction is coming together. Very inspirational, indeed.
If you just want to see the quick version, go here to watch the project take shape.

Holy smokes! Charlie Sheen is now on Twitter.
He has tweeted twice so far, the first tweet including the picture above, and he's gaining followers at a rate exceeding 100,000 per hour.
The picture above, posted via TwitPic, carries the caption, "Winning..! Choose your Vice..."
