| | Comments (0) |

A 39-year-old Fontana man was robbed of his wallet then pistol whipped Friday night.

The victim was sitting in his vehicle, about 8:50 p.m., about to back out of a parking lot at 11623 Cherry Ave., when a man came up to the driver's window and asked for the time, according to a Fontana police news release. After the victim gave the time, the robber pointed a small black handgun at him and demanded his wallet.

When he took the wallet, the robber hit the man in the forehead with the gun.

The victim got a cut on his forehead from the incident and was treated at the scene, according to the news release.
