A small earthquake rattled the San Bernardino County this morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey said in a preliminary report that the magnitude-3.3 temblor struck Friday at 1:53 a.m.

It was centered about four miles north west of Fontana.

The survey says the earthquake's epicenter was relatively shallow, just one-tenth of a mile below the surface.
