The coin fail favorably for area boys’ basketball teams Saturday morning.
The Poly, Compton, Mayfair, St. John Bosco and St. Anthony coaches won flips at the CIF Southern Section office and the reward was the right to play host to second-found playoff games Tuesday night.

In the I-AA division, Poly (18-10) will take on San Gabriel Valley League co-champion Dominguez (20-7), Moore League champion Compton (24-4) gets Harvard-Westlake (22-5), Suburban League runner-up Mayfair (20-6) is at home to Mission Viejo (22-5), St. John Bosco (16-12) welcomes Suburban League third-place squad La Mirada (20-7), Suburban champion Artesia (25-2) – the No. 2 seed – visits Simi Valley (21-6), and Jordan (19-9) – which upset host Centennial Friday night – was automatically given a home game against Santa Margarita (20-5).
St. Anthony (24-3) won a flip with Cathedral (17-9) and will be at home in a IV-A quarterfinal Tuesday night.
In the I-A division, Los Alamitos (23-4) is automatically on the road since the Griffins were at home Friday night for their win over Huntington Beach while their Tuesday opponent, Leuzinger (13-9) had to travel to beat Dos Pueblos Friday.
All games are scheduled for 7 o’clock tip-offs.
