My John R. Wooden selections

As promised in my Wednesday Press-Telegram, here are my choices to be the 20 players on the John R. Wooden Award ballot for the college basketball player of the year!

SENIORS (9): Mario Boggan (6-7, Oklahoma State), Aaron Brooks (6-0, Oregon), Derrick Byars (6-7, Vanderbilt), Jared Dudley (6-7, Boston College), Nick Fazekas (6-11, Nevada), Aaron Gray (7-0, Pittsburgh), Acie Law (6-3, Texas A&M), Al Thornton (6-7, Florida State) and Alando Tucker (6-6, Wisconsin).

JUNIORS (6): Arron Afflalo (6-4, UCLA), Corey Brewer (6-7, Florida), Jeff Green (6-8, Georgetown), Taurean Green (6-0, Florida), Drew Neitzel (6-0, Michigan State) and Joakim Noah (6-11, Florida).

SOPHOMORES (3): Darren Collison (6-0, UCLA), Tyler Hansbrough (6-8, North Carolina) and Josh McRoberts (6-10, Duke).

FRESHMEN (2): Kevin Durant (6-9, Texas) and Greg Oden (7-0, Ohio State).
