Well, put them in the books: Cal beat Oregon State and UC Irvine (in the game played across the Katella from the Magic Kingdom) edged UC Riverside by a point.

That means the Bears get UCLA Thursday at about 2:30 p.m.
And it means the Anteaters will take on UC Santa Barbara in a Big West quarterfinal at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Next up tonight: Washington (warming up right in front of me) against Arizona State (its bench is in front of me) in Staples and Cal State Northridge vs. Pacific in the ACC (that’s Anaheim Convention Center, of course).
