So now the Bruins wait . . .

Well, I thought UCLA’s defense was going to pull it out for the Bruins on an afternoon when their offense was awful.
So much for that late second-half assumption.

The Bruins just couldn’t knock in nearly enough shots (Arron Afflalo made just field goal, a reverse layup 24 seconds into overtime) and Cal dominated play down the stretch.
Cal guard Ayinde Ubake looked like the Pac 10 Player of the Year and first-team All-America today.
I’m guessing the Bruins will still be the No. 1 seed in the West (San Jose) Region, though.
Now, do I brave the traffic and drive to Anaheim to catch the last 10 minutes or so of Fullerton-Pacific (tips off at 6) or stick it out here and catch some of USC-Stanford ….?
