Wildcats headed back to Tucson

What can be said about the University of Arizona basketball team following its inglorious quarterfinal exit from the Pac 10 Conference Tournament this afternoon?

In reality, the same thing that could have been said before the Wildcats’ 69-50 loss to Oregon in the Staples Center:
The Wildcats just aren’t that good.
Lute Olson’s team, 20-12 after its ninth loss in 17 games, is starting a 10 or 11 seed smack dab in the face on Selection Sunday.
As has been the case nearly all season, the Wildcats’ defense was ineffective. And, even worse, they seemed not to play with a whole lot of energy.
