Sources told me within the last half of an hour that UCLA assistant Kerry Keating has accepted an offer to become Santa Clara's next head coach, turning down an offer to become Long Beach State's coach in the process.

Who remains viable options for the 49ers?

Well, Washington assistant Cameron Dollar had a second interview for the job on Tuesday and met with LBSU President Dr. F. King Alexander that evening.

And LBSU Athletic Director Vic Cegles could turn to Dan Monson (the former head coach at Minnesota and Gonzaga) or Gib Arnold (an assistant to Tim Floyd at USC), both of which interviewed with Cegles at an LAX-area hotel on March 26.
