OK, time to get cranking

Just one more draft blog post before I start pounding out a draft analysis for the Friday Press-Telegram. . .

I was surprised Gabe Pruitt of USC didn't land in the first round but he was gone quickly in Round 2, going to Boston which seems a pretty good fit for him because he can shoot and Rajon Rondo can't.

But I'm more than surprised -- call it flabbergasted -- that Josh McRoberts, who I thought would go in the late teens or early 20s, is still on the board.

Don't be surprised -- oops! There he goes, to Portland at the No. 37 spot in the second round.

Heck of a night for Portland, getting Greg Oden at numero uno, then picking up the rights to another couple of first-round picks, Rudy Fernandez and Petteri Koponen.

I'm outta here, folks . . .

My scorecard: 26 of 30 first-rounders correct, eight of those on the button.
