College basketball stunner

According to multiple coaches' and media sources, Wake Forest basketball coach Skip Prosser died earlier this morning after an apparent heart attack suffered while jogging near camp in Winston-Salem, N.C.

He was 56 years old!

I really didn't know him, other than asking him questions after a few ACC games when I worked for Fox (he coached Josh Howard of the Dallas Mavericks and Chris Paul of New Orleans).

But several of his peers here in Las Vegas for the high school basketball tournaments, such as Lute Olson, all spoke very highly of him just moments ago.

That is beyond sad and just another one of those "don't take a moment in the world for granted" experiences . . .

And I don't plan to.
