Here are the matchups for the quarterfinals of the Fullcourt Press Fall Hoops Classic:
10:15 a.m. (Ct. 1) The Hood (Dominguez players) vs. Empire (guys from Inland Empire and Pomona areas)
(Ct. 2) Branch West Academy-Reebok (Klay Thompson of Santa Margarita, plus guards Abdul Gaddy and Avery Bradley of Tacoma Bell-Prep and center Colin Borchert of Mountain Ridge High in Arizona) vs. California Supreme (sensation sophomore big man Jeremy Tyler of San Diego HS and sophomore guard Gary Franklin of Mater Dei).
11:30 (Ct. 1) Summitt Prep (a bunch of post-high school players trying to get eligible for college) vs. San Diego All-Stars (no one special)
(Ct. 2) Belmont Shore (Demar DeRozan and Renaldo Woolridge, etc.) vs. One Tough School of Basketball (players from South Orange County).
"Gold" (pool winners) semifinals are 2 p.m. (winners of 10:15 games) and 3:15 (winners of 11:30 games), both Ct. 2.
"Gold" championship: 5:45, Ct. 2.
