Lakewood offense is clicking

It might have been done in by five lost fumbles in Lakewood's opener last week at La Costa Canyon in Carlsbad.

But the Lancers' offense looked pretty good in the first half of its home opener Friday night against Tesoro.

The Lancers spotted the Titans a 10-0 advantage before scoring three touchdowns in the second quarter, two of those on passes by sophomore quarterback Jesse Scroggins and the third on a 64-burst by junior running back Alex Fletcher.

Those in attendance have the rare treat of watching a game without knowing how much time remains -- the scoreboard at John Ford Stadium wasn't functioning in any fashion in the first half.
