How good is the Newport Harbor? We'll have a better idea once the Sailors start Sunset League play in a couple of weeks. But the team it lost to Friday night looked pretty good.

The Poly Jackrabbits were far from perfect but, for the most part, played the part of one of the state's teams very well Friday night in South Orange County.

Running backs Ricky Johnson, Melvin Richardson, Cory Westbrook and Daveon Barner combined to rush for 247 yards for Coach Raul Lara's team, which netted just one yard on the ground last week in the loss to Birmingham.

Check out Saturday's Press-Telegram for my full game story. I'll also try to blog on the night's action elsewhere when I get home.
