15 minutes until kickoff

I'm sitting in the Wilson High press box for the first time in . . . geez, a long, long time.

I'm guessing it had to have been in, perhaps, the mid-1990s. But, anyway, enough of the nostalgia.

The Poly High football team is going to play its Wilson counterpart in attempt to bag its 70th consecutive Moore League victory.

And that would be a state record. Morgan Fennell is apparently going to return as the Jackrabbits' start quarterback. And Raul Lara's team better get itself a passing attack if it wants to get past the first round of the CIF Southern Section's Pac-5 playoffs.
