Compton will be 8-0

The Tarbabes, barring one of the more shocking second halves I've ever seen, are going to be unbeaten going into their Moore League showdown against Poly in Compton next Friday night.

Who will win that one? Hmmmmmm.

Once Coach Calvin Bryant's team started hanging onto the ball (it lost fumbles on its first two possessions), the Tarbabes were impossible for the host Millikan Rams to stop.

They run that Wing-T offensive with a lot of crispness and deception (and some!).

Anyway, they've rushed for 236 yards, with Donald Green bagging 117 of those and Curry Williams picking up 97 yards and three scores.

Out of curiosity, I wonder how many coaches from Pac-5 Conference schools are here checking out the game? Quite a few, I would imagine.

The Trinity, Sunset and South Coast Leagues either canceled (Trinity) or postponed their games tonight. The Sunset and South Coast games will be made up.

And bank on there being Moore League coaches at Newport Harbor (vs. Los Alamitos) and Valencia (Edison vs. Esperanza) to watch a couple of Sunset League games Monday evening.
