Poly, Los Al up at the half

I'm at Orange Coast College, where the Los Alamitos Griffins lead Edison at halftime, 6-0, in a Sunset League football game.

And, from what I just heard from the Press-Telegram sports desk (the cell phone: what a great invention), Poly leads host Millikan at intermission in a Moore League game, 14-7.

Edison has pretty thoroughly outplayed Los Alamitos was saw four solid scoring opportunities go array in the first half.

The Griffins' offense? It's been pretty much limited to one play . . . but a big one it was.

Junior quarterback Clark Evans connected with sophomore Paul Richardson for a 70-yard touchdown with 5:44 to go in the first half, as the Chargers appeared to have a blown coverage.

There are a limited number of power outlets in this press box and I may not be high up on the pecking order. So you may not see any update until the game is over.
