The Lancers have hit two big scoring plays and played very solid defense in the first half, putting a lot of heat on Mission VIejo quarterback Allan Bridgford with Brennan Kelly intercepting him late in the second quarter in Lakewood territory to end a threat.

I read the pre game write up on Poly -if Lakewood and Poly both win then they will meet in the Semis. I do have to say this about Jerry Stone after watching just his one game against Servite - he is the best running back I have seen at Lakewood and that goes back to 1966 with Larry Crutchfield and 1970 with Mike Owens and the 90's with Joe Nuez. Unbelievable but true stat Lakewood has not beaten Poly since 1982 (they tied in 1983). And no one at the PT ever mentions it just Poly's incredible Moore League win streak. Hope the Lancers can hold on - last week they were up against Servite at the half by I think 2 tds and had to hold on for dear life. Curt
