It's official: The Poly vs. Lakewood CIF Southern Section Pac-5 semifinal football game will be played at Cerritos College Friday night at 7 o'clock.
Well, at least there is no doubt about the site.
If Fox Sports decides to telecast the game (the decision should come today), it will kick off at 7:30.
Tickets will be on sale at both campuses this week. That's probably the way to go, as well. Things could get a bit crowded at the ticket booths Friday night!
Its about time someone will knock off those Rabbits...Figures it'll take a LANCER to do it! GET SOME LAKEWOOD!
As an alumni of LB Poly, and being a scholar and a champion, I see the glaring flaw in the above statement left by D-flunk. I do want to congratulate Lakewood, though, on a great season.
I am a Lakewood grad who's son goes to Poly. We (Poly) kicked their butt in the last game and were going to do it again! On to the state championship baby!
I thank whoever was responsible for this charitable act. I was hoping for a bigger venue other than Lakewood High- What was it Glen Ford Stadium, as I previously submitted. I was hoping it would be LBCC but Cerritos is just as an accomodating, convenient, and (even moreso) attractive setting for such a game. If it was Lakewood's decision a gracious thank you goes to them.
Quite frankly though....Poly may be a as boring an offensive team as you will ever see but the fact is no matter you put the Rabbits they are going to win and OLU has replaced Mater Dei as Poly's NEW arch nemesis!
You mentioned tv info might be known by end of day Monday. Any word yet on whether Fox Sports Net will televise this?
