Sophomore Cleo Bates scored on a 2-yard run with 4:24 to go in second quarter for the final points of the half as Pasadena cuts its deficit to a deuce.

Jordan standout John Timu returned to the sideline early in the second quarter, apparently after having a brace put on his right knee. Timu was walking on the sideline, albeit gingerly, and didn't play the rest of the half.

Any injury that would keep the Moore League's 2008 Offensive Player of the Year on the sideline for any significant amount of time would, obviously, border on the devastating for the Panthers' Moore League hopes.

They open league play two weeks from night against Poly at Veterans Stadium.
