The Gahr Gladiators to go for a 2-point conversion -- and a likely victory -- after scoring a touchdown with 1:08 remaining to get within a point of Millikan.

But quarterback Casey Nielsen was intercepted for the fourth time tonight -- this time by Jerrell Bradford -- and the visiting Rams held on ever-so-barely for a 35-34 victory.

Nielsen threw for 417 yards and five touchdowns but Millikan got the critical picks and also sacked him seven times (five of those after intermission).

The Rams' running attack was impressive, especially by way of the effort turned in by 139-pound junior Darius Hardy (180 yards on 24 carries).

The teams combined for 816 net yards (431 of those by Gahr).
