It's over and Los Al is 4-0

The Griffins' defense finally surrendered some offense after holding the team's first three opponents scoreless.

But not to worry . . . Los Alamitos is 4-0 after handling a very good La Habra club, 28-13.

This is the Griffins' best D is several seasons. And Coach John Barnes' offense isn't bad, either.

Junior running back Nick Richardson has -- in the lexicon of today -- quite a "burst" and he displayed it often while scoring twice and rushing for 188 yards on 21 carries.

The Griffins should handled L.A. City club Narbonne next Thursday night and take a 5-0 record into a Sunset League opener against Newport Harbor on Oct. 16.

Happy Days are here again for Barnes' Crew!
