First BIW signing report

The biggest news this a.m. from a "Best in the West perspective"

*Narbonne safety Sean Parker (No. 20 in the balloting for the final spot on the first team) signed with the University of Washington instead of USC or Michigan.

Might this at least partially signal that another first-team BIW safety, Dietrich Riley (St. Francis), is Troy-bound?

*Edison linebacker Jordan Zumwalt, who "committed" to Stanford late in the summer, signed with UCLA.

Consider it a bit of "tit for tat". Quarterback Brett Nottingham (Danville Monte Vista) -- a long-time UCLA "commit" -- is expected to sign with Stanford.
