30-plus minutes before ACC tip-off

That's the Anaheim Convention Center, of course, where the Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara men's basketball will tip off a little after 5 this evening for championship of the Big West Conference tournament.

The big prize that will be claimed at about 7 o'clock is the conference's slot in the NCAA Tournament.

Oh, yeah -- that's what this whole season has been about for both of these clubs.

There appears to be a larger number of LBSU fans (and students) here than their UCSB counterparts -- but we're still talking a grand total of, oh, may 300 folks right now.

FYI: The game will be televised on ESPN2 (as opposed to ESPNU Friday night).
