Sophomore Marqise Lee, who helped Serra High when Southern Section and state titles in football, could be on the verge of pulling off the same double for the Cavaliers' hoops program.

Lee scored 13 points and grabbed a bunch of rebounds down the stretch -- including a rebound and free throw that clinched the victory in the closing seconds over Centennial, 62-58.

Ultimately, the Apaches didn't guard Serra's guards well enough and Centennial's best player, Deonte Burton, couldn't free himself from the defense of Craig Carter to get enough quality shots.

Both teams will be in the State Southern Regionals (Div. III) beginning Tuesday night.
