The last of the Pacific 10 Conference teams -- and remember, there were only two to start with -- just excited the NCAA Tournament.

The Washington Huskies played at West Virginia's pace in the second half and that wasn't good for the Huskies.

So the West Virginia Mountaineers, following their 69-56 victory over Lorenzo Romar's team in Syracuse, advances to the East final Saturday against Kentucky (or, Ivy League member Cornell).
