Poly burst out to a big early lead and never let the host Monarchs get closer than within 10 points in the second half to prevail, 65-47, in the title game of the Mater Dei Tournament tonight.

Senior guards Alex Carmon (20 points in the championship game) and Alexis Moore (nine points and a bunch of assists) were outstanding throughout the three-day event.
