UCSB media pick in hoops

A group of 23 media members has selected UC Santa Barbara to win the Big West Conference men's basketball championship, the conference announced this morning.

The Gauchos received 20 first-place votes while Long Beach State got two and Pacific one.

Two 49ers, T.J. Robinson and Casper Ware, were chosen to the projected all-conference team.

How the teams were picked:
1. UCSB 204 points (20 first-place votes)
2. LBSU 180 (two first-place votes)
3. UOP 161 points (one first-place vote)
4. UC Davis 126 points
5. Cal Poly 96
6. UC Irvine 93
7. CS Fullerton 81
8. CS Northridge 55
9. UC Riveside 39

All-Conference
