Trojans pull away

The Trojans, for the most part, dominated things after intermission and got a real nice contribution from a guy who hasn't played a lot of late -- freshman wing Bryce Jones, the former Taft standout -- to pull away for an 63-52 victory.

Coach Kevin O'Neill's team is, in my mine, clearly the second best team in the Pac-10 right now.

After watching the Clippers beat the Golden State Warriors (105-91) in the Staples Center this afternoon, I'm now in the Galen Center.

The Trojans are holding a five-point (17-12) at the second media timeout -- 11:51 to go -- and their superior guard play is quiet evident.

They're up on Golden State, 62-48, and DeAndre Jordan is maintaining his rebounding shot-blocking ways.

Jordan has 11 rebounds and has blocked three Warriors' shots -- and it seems about twice that many.

Oh, yes -- Eric Gordon has 21 points, Blake Griffin 14 (and six rebounds and three assists) and Baron Davis nine (and six assists).
