The Poly Jackrabbits lead the Etiwanda Eagles, 27-25, after the first half of their Southern Section I-AA semifinal in the Anaheim Convention Center Arena tonight.

Poly jumped out to an 8-2 advantage and also led 20-15 midway through the second quarter but has been unable to pull away in the defensive-oriented contest it was expected to be.

Future USC Trojans Byron Wesley (eight points) of Etiwanda and Alexis Moore (seven points and three assists) of Poly have played well, as has Poly forward Chris Camper (seven points).

Ryan Anderson of the Jackrabbits has been limited to two points.
