The national American theatre organization is offering up to five free tickets for the Free Night of Theater event when you sign up on a participating venue's website, starting Sept. 9.
Performances are from Oct. 1 to 31 with shows in California, Florida, Kansas, New York, South Caroline and more.
And you thought the Lunar New Year celebrations were over. The fourth annual Nite n' Day Arts Festival will take place in Chinatown, Los Angeles, on Feb. 12.
From 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the festival will include traditional Chinese music ensembles, Korean performance troupes, Vietnamese folk dance, Japanese Taiko drummers, Lion Dancers, Latin Jazz or funk and soul bands and more.
It is at Chinatown's Central Plaza, 943 N. Broadway. Check out the schedule.

Engage your family in a lot of art this weekend for the Target Arts and Wonder Free Family Event, hosted by Target, from today until July 18.
Participating museums include:
- CAAM: California African American Museum from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 18;
- 2010 Free TARGET Music Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. July 17-18;
- Japanese American National Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 17;
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 17;
- Museum of Latin American Art from noon to 5 p.m. on July 18;
- and Plaza de la Raza from noon to 6 p.m. on July 18.
Some of the locations offer reoccuring free days.
The event is the first in a series of cultural festivals that will take place at the outdoor courtyard of the Paseo.
The festival will include music, dance, food and artistry of Armenia. Admission is free.

The free events include a film screening of "DIRT!" at Raymond Theatre at 7 p.m. today, April 23 -- as well as Greening the Earth Day and Armory Family Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 24.
Kids, ages 3 to 8, are invited to participate in a free ballet lesson at 3 p.m. on tomorrow, March 27, at Loyola Marymount University.
The free interactive ballet workshop will introduce children to the fundamental performing arts skills, offer a chance for parents to meet and greet, and provide ballet resources.
Orientation and sign-in is from 3 to 3:30 p.m.; the workshop is from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; and a Q&A session is at 5 p.m.
The workshop is at Studio 1 in Fritz B. Burns Recreation Center at Loyola Marymount University, 1 LMU Drive in Los Angeles.

Glendale Galleria is host to an opening reception and exhibition of the Live Art Party from 7 to 9 p.m. today, March 18.
Five distinguished contemporary artists will create portraits of live models dressed in pop wear from "Alice in Wonderland" characters.
The paintings will be displayed at Local Collection's storefront from March 18 to 28.
Local Collection teamed up with publisher Richard Kalisher of the American Contemporary Art magazine to create the exhibition.
There will be tea and treats at the event. Refreshments and valet parking at Nordstroms are complimentary.

Head to Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra for the opening reception of the "Curiouser & Curiouser: Inspired by 'Alice in Wonderland'" exhibition, from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The free event will feature artists from Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" and others celebrating and creating their vision of the iconic story. The exhibition will have exclusive concept art, production and film stills from the upcoming film.
