Beckham no show

So much for his overhyped debut Saturday. But the real question is whether all those folks who scrambled to buy tickets for what was supposed to be David Beckham's debute game with the Galaxy Saturday.

if he's not going to play, then perhaps he can at least mingle with the crowd to give them their moneyh's worth, maybe a little karaoke duet with his singer wife?

If the injury on Beckham's anckle persists and he cannot play today, and he cannot play in the future or his capacity to play are curtailed because of that injury, (did that injury occured while he was under contract to Galaxy?) is Beckham going to pay back to Galaxy some of the humongous amount of money Galaxy paid him?

Please bring back the old format.....this new one is AWFUL! A bunch of junk! What are you trying to do save money with a bunch of unknowns? Joy Gardner

Did we really need(or what) all the pages of Beckham(who cares) and bring back the old format on the front page....

Who cares about the guy from England and his wife

David Beckham is garanteed something I didn't know in my previous blog. $32.5 million over the next five seasons. Is $32.5 million garanteed based on the fact that he would play soccer games or the garanty stays in effect regardless if he plays or not? Also, he must be (heavily) insured and who is paying for that? Galaxy or Beckham? To quote your paper, he has good looks, charm and a flare for the drammatic. Well, if he can no longer play soccer, with Hollywood drooling over his good looks, charm and flare, he should have no problem embarking in a new career. And voilá, a star is born.
