Editor Kaye indicates that not just Funky, For Better or Worse and Mallard Fillmore will be returning to the comics. I do hope that Judge Parker makes his return to comics.

Since some of the comics are coming back, I hope that includes to the SUNDAY COMICS as well. Especially the story comics, like Funky Winkerbean, For Better or For Worse and Judge Parker, which I still hold out hope will return. Thanks!

I see the SUNDAY comics was a big joke all so.
I don't know why I am wasting my time on this e-mail you PEOPLE don't care I see no answers, as sorry we will restore them to what we had.
Maybe what needs to done is a e-mail chain letter to have people call the advertiser in the news as to what we are canc.the paper. Maybe the advertiser
would care that there adds are being read by less people. But of course this
letter is going no ware the othere ones have not been read eather.

Hi Ron Kaye , Daily News editor

Re: To our readers

First I regard myself as not only a reader, but also a long time SUBSCRIBER!!

When will "Beetle Baily and Hager the Horrible" return to the comics? I didn't see them in the Sunday comics either. I am still waiting.

Nowhere have I seen an explantion for the CHANGES. Did you do ANY SUBSCRIBER polls before you made this decision?

It is a sad commentary on society when we have corruption on the government, a war leading nowhere and crime on the rise and nobody cares....but don't you dare mess with the comics 'cause there's hell to be paid!

It's the comics pages of the DN that help you escape the corruption, war and crime. And/or provides some escapism. I, for one applaud the Editor for bringing some of the comics back. I hope Judge Parker can be one of them that returns.

I hate the new comics! Put the old ones back, except for Zippy, Six chicks, Rhymes with Orange.

Well it seams that getting the comics put back in the paper is like alot of other red-tape..instantly its gone and takes forever to get it back..
