Jailed Border Patrol agents get Senate hearing
Just heard from a source that the Senate Judiciary Committee will take up the case of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, the two Border Patrol agents serving 11-12 year sentences in the shooting of drug smuggler Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila after a chase along the Texas-Mexico border. Sen. Dianne Feinstein will be presiding over the "Hearing to Examine the Prosecution of Igancio Ramos and Jose Compean," which will be July 17 at 10 a.m. in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
