Terrorists keen on global warming
The Daily Mirror is reporting on the last phone calls of Kafeel Ahmed, who got all crispy driving a flaming Jeep into the checkout-area doors at Glasgow Airport last weekend.
"The day after police defused the West End car bombs, he phoned them and said: 'I had told you earlier that sometime in future I will be inaccessible for a week. The time has come now.'I will go to that place, finish that work and go to London and will return to Bangalore from there. All this may take a month's time.'
He added: 'My earlier presentation failed...please pray for me.' By then, counter terrorism officers were closing in and detectives believe he launched his last-ditch attack on Glasgow Airport.
Police in India were yesterday questioning his father Maqboo, mother Zakia, both doctors, and student sister Sadia about the phone calls. In the first message on May 5, according to the Times of India newspaper, Ahmed said: 'I am involved in a large-scale confidential project. It is about global warming. I cannot reveal the details.'"
