War of the Comics _ Day 3

The wave of discontent continues to build:

Used to be that doctors "bled" sick patients to get rid of the bad blood that was making them ill. This may be news to you but that practice was discredited; it made the patients sicker. If circulation is down and making sweeping change is your remedy to prevent further loss of readers, well, you can stop. The patient is
dead. "LA.COM isn't the summer's "hottest premiere..." It's a crime scene.

I don't know what is going on at your paper, but I definitely don't like it. You discontinued the diagramless crossword puzzle on Sundays, trashed your comics section, and eliminated the food section. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish, but if it is losing readership, you have met that goal as far as this former reader is concerned.

Your comics are not comical anymore. Where's 'Adam @
Home,' 'For Better or Worse,' 'Beetle Bailey' and
'Flight Deck'? The whole third page of comics are not
worth turning the page for. If you are trying to cater
to teenagers, they are not the ones that usually buy a
newspaper and they definitely don't subscribe.

Bring back the old comics -After reading all the bad things going on in the world, it makes the day easier.

I am just adding my voice to the discontent over your newspapers new form. I am especially disappointed that several of the best comics have been taken out. "Funky Winkerbean" and "For Better or Worse"

I have taken this paper since it was called the Green Sheet, but I believe the time has come to give it up.

You don't sell papers by taking away what people have come to enjoy reading.

Where is Mallard, Dinette Set and Funky

The new comics STINK!! Give back the paper we want. We have been getting this sence it was called the GREEN SHEET and it was free.
Now I am not sure I want the paper any more. By the way I am one who pays by the year this not what I payed for. You have my $$$$ but now you give me garbage. If this what you are going to do You should go back to giving it to us for FREE like the old days.

Arrrggg!!
Comics are personal friends and arbitrarily changing them without a vote is ignoring the customer. My morning was very enjoyable with the U format. I particularly miss Funky , Rhymes with Orange, Judge Parker, the Dinette Set, Beatle, Ziggy and yes even Mallard. The only one I don't miss was Zippy.
I'm even more upset that the Bobby Wolf bridge column has disappeared. He was the main reason for subscribing to your paper.
Also, the smaller format of the Sudoku , although seemingly innocent, makes it almost impossible to use candidates which are often necessary on the 5&6 star days.

Please renew the lost gems or I'm taking up with the Times.

It's time to rethink the
new LA.COM section or
is this the future of
the Daily News- a move
toward mediocrity?

I stopped buying the Sunday LA Times due to the cancellation of the bridge column.
