It sucks to be a smoker in L.A.*
And not just because it will kill you quicker since you're already breathing in so much smog. The Los Angeles City Council just approved a ban on smoking in city parks, meaning even fewer place for smokers to escape for a puff. The car is now the only refuge of the closet smoker. How long until someone figures out how to ban that too?
* Update: apparently this is a voluntary ban. There's not going to be any smoking police patrolling for people puffing during picnics, whatnot.
